Expanding Linguistic Access

The world is increasingly connected and yet the capacity for different groups to be heard  is still far from equal.  Our mission is to level the linguistic playing-field for all. We partner with change-making organizations committed to linguistic inclusion in programming, outreach, and communications.

Ideologies about Language

The world of business operates according to a dominant ideology: language exists to accommodate commercial profits and facilitate business-as-asual. Is your interpreter or language service specialist also bound by this perspective? We engage language as a tool that builds parity and safeguards against ethnocentric assumptions. We are trained to be culturally competent and attentive to power imbalances. The words of a speaker may be "simple" but they cannot be presented as the words of a  "simple person". Does your interpreter understand the value of local knowledge and its delivery by organic scientists and intellectuals?

Confidence and Trust

Effective communications requires trust and the confidence to speak freely, and we build these capacities with our clients and  professional networks at every step of the way. We ask relevant questions, solicit feedback, and keep abreast of the issues, policy, and institutional landscapes.

We achieve the necessary budget solutions so that our partners can access our services and stay focused on strengthening their movements. No materials are ever processed through AI systems.
