The world is increasingly connected and yet the capacity for different groups to be heard is still far from equal. Much too frequently, peoples' ability to participate in crucial spaces where decisions are made — negotiations, public debates, conferences, etc. — is determined by linguistic privileges. These include growing up to speak a "global" language like English, Spanish or French; having access to second language education, recent technology; and economic resources for vital services such as interpretation, translation, and others.
Our mission is to level the linguistic playing-field through partnerships with change-making organizations committed to inclusion and direct-participation in programming and communications. Our work is tailored to the specific needs, geographical location, and technological capabilities of our clients and their publics. We rely on a network of professional interpreters, translators, copyeditors, and content producers committed to expanding linguistic rights at all levels.
Effective communications requires trust, and this includes the trust that is demonstrated any time that someone entrusts an interpreter, content producer, or other language specialist with a message. Our work is based on that knowledge, and it comes through in everything we do. This as well as our familiarity with issues related to human rights, the UN system, advocacy, conflict resolution, and national policy is what has allowed us to grow and contribute to the important work.of our clients.
